[ ../ ](/) # Digital minimalism Technology has hijacked our minds and bloody hell does it feel like a constant uphill battle despite being aware. While my previous post [digital freedom](/digital-freedom/) was in more relation to freedom in terms of privacy, hardware and software, I do realize that the most important aspect of both digital freedom and digital minimalism is our minds. Even if I 100% owned the computer (hardware and software), 100% understood the computer, 100% could control the computer to only do what I would want it to do - it all would matter much less if my mind was still a slave to it. I need to be careful about how much I am letting tech occupying my precious mental space. I want to utilize technology with more intention. Would love to know how you all tackle this, please feel free to let me know. One thing I have started to become less dependant on technology is [analog habits](/analog-habits/). Another thing I have started doing is avoiding consuming content fed to me by the algorithm. Mostly consuming content that I searched for has saved me a lot of mental space that previously was occupied with meaningless, cheap entertainment.
