[ ../ ](/) # West person working in east and vice versa Usually when a person works in another country, or is going for education or experience they are looked upon differently in the west vs the east. My friends in asia go to europe or america for work or school and when they come back they are highly regarded for there experience that they learned in the other countries. Often associated with high pay and respect to their peers. On the contray from my experience when a westerner goes to asia for work or school they are seen as taking time off to go and travel and visit these places in the east. Often i get the response "oh how fun that must have been a great trip". No i worked and lived with people all over asia learned great skills from them and learned how to communicate and respect there vast and expansive cultures. This is completely disregared in the eyes of a common westerner because the think they are higher quality people compare to the eastern countries. Western racism is a real thing.
